New Websites & Design Revamps

If you are wondering whether you need a whole new website or can simply redesign your existing one, read on! You may also be quite really nervous about your small business budget, but you may well be surprised at how cost-effective it can be.

New Website Or Redesign – Where To Start

I’ve worked with lots of clients who are putting up with a website that may look OK on the frontend, but is not delivering at all. It is truly amazing what you can learn when it’s functioning properly. I was never a stats person before I started this. Now I LOVE analysing the data for my clients and seeing their growth from implementing website tweaks and SEO.

Firstly, we offer a free analysis of your site and make recommendations for improvements so you know exactly what’s working, what isn’t and what needs to be done to grow your business. It may be that you just need to revamp your existing website.

If a new website build is required, I send you a questionnaire to delve into your wish list for the new site, as well as to understand the assets you have available (your own web skillset, images, logo, brand identity etc.) A new website build includes:

  • Mobile responsive, of course!
  • Social media optimisation
  • Basic onsite SEO
  • Keyword research
  • Meta optimisation
  • Indexing optimisation
  • Submission to Google and other search engines
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup and goal tracking

Hearts Desire Homewares

Hearts Desire Homewares initially wanted to engage me for social media content and management, but when I analysed where the traffic would go it became obvious that they needed a complete website rebuild. There is no point driving people to your site if they don’t have a smooth path to making a purchase once they get there. Having invested fairly recently in a new site, it was a shock for them to consider finding more budget.  However, they understood the rationale to spend money to make money, and could see that it would be worth it.

Within a year of launching, online sales had gone from zero to 20% of their business.

Creative Nature Landscape Services

Creative Nature Landscapes needed a more modern, better functioning site that was mobile responsive so it made sense to build it from scratch. This was our second website using WordPress Gutenberg and I’m really happy with how it has turned out. So is the owner of the site, thankfully!

Insignia Crew website revamp

Insignia Crew is a great example of how some tweaks to an existing site has a great impact on business. I received a message from Company Director, Andrew Holme which reads…

website revamp

“A short note to personally thank you for all your efforts and time over the last few months.  There is no doubt in my mind that without everything you have done, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Our website is performing really well and we receive much praise about how good it looks and functions.”

You can read the full story on what we did for Insignia Crew, from nailing a new company logo design to optimising the site with SEO basics and some new layout features.

Which Website Platforms?

If we’re building from scratch our preference is WordPress (read why) and we were very early adopters of their editing tool, Gutenberg, back in 2018. If you’re looking for web updates and optimisation then we work across all key platforms: WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace and Wix. For website tweaks we can add:

  • E-commerce
  • Bespoke forms
  • Full SEO packages
  • New themes
  • Whatever you need…
